My name is Dr. Valerie McCray and I’m working hard to become your next U.S. Senator representing Indiana. No. I haven’t spent my entire life in politics. Instead, I’ve spent my career serving others as a clinical psychologist, working with veterans living with PTSD, incarcerated individuals in the prison system, and children who’ve suffered from gun violence and family trauma.
I am both compassionate and fierce, and can relate to the struggles of working class Hoosiers. I will break barriers and build a brighter future for Indiana. Together, we can build a movement for change—one that prioritizes mental health and women’s rights and ensures every individual has access to resources needed and policies that help us thrive.

Jennifer McCormick for Governor
Frank graduated from Morton High School before going on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. Frank and his wife Jane live in Lake County, where they met in high school and have been together ever since. They have two daughters Genevieve and Scarlett. Frank is inspired by his dad’s service in the Indiana State Senate, where he traveled to the Statehouse to serve the people of our region.

Indiana native Jennifer McCormick is a lifelong educator and a former superintendent of public education for the state of Indiana. Growing up on a small family farm in New Castle, Indiana, Jennifer witnessed the opportunities and challenges facing Indiana. Jennifer and her husband, Trent, have one son, a West Point graduate and a member of the United States Army. She earned her B.A. from Purdue, M.A. from Ball State and an Ed.S. and Ph.D. from Indiana State.

I grew up in a blue collar family in Morgan County, where I learned the importance of the values that small-town Hoosiers hold dear: family, freedom, and progress. I am the daughter of eight generations of farmers, whose love for working the land has stayed true even through hardship. I left home to attend Indiana University as a first generation college student. And in the throes of 9/11, I enlisted in the Army National Guard at the age of 19 and later joined Army ROTC. In the military I found what many of us are looking for: a steady paycheck, health care, a path toward retirement, and the ability to serve my country and my community.
